Tartan Aid began with a simple belief. When people are in need, we should do what we can to help.
In November 2023, a group of us came together to raise funds and provide whatever help we could for people affected by the crisis in Gaza. What began as a small effort grew through the generosity and determination of people who wanted to make a real difference.
This work is not temporary. As long as there are people in need and as long as we are able to help, Tartan Aid will continue it's work in Gaza indefinitely.

As well as our extensive work helping families in Gaza, we work with multiple homeless charities in Glasgow.
Help the Homeless Glasgow
Help The Homeless Glasgow is a community group that was established in December 2016. HTHG is made up of a group of volunteers from all walks of life who give up as much of their free time as possible around their daily family lives, employment and further education.
The Invisibles
We are an independent group committed to helping the homeless and roughsleepers in Glasgow.
Also through our Michelle McFarlane Fund we help people moving from temporary to permanent accommodation, support family's and individuals experiencing hardships.
The Wayside Club
The Wayside Club was established in 1932 to meet the needs of the homeless and those suffering from hardship, addiction to alcohol or gambling. It is operated by the Legion of Mary, a Catholic lay organisation and helpers from other religions and none.
